In the museum interactive games and video displays share the limelight with live mini-beasts and animal products which can be picked up and looked at.

The latest exhibition highlight involves a trip through the human body.   Questions such as: on which different systems is the human body dependent for survival? How do we actually function? What do these systems do and how are they best provided for? How are we able to think, feel, experience? This is a trip through our own vital organs and, involving use of all our senses, provides a light-hearted way of learning how our body functions and how we can look after it.

Bregenz Festival

Bregenz Festival

A real treat for all the senses, the Bregenz Festival is a magical cultural experience which never fails to inspire its many summer visitors.

The Bregenz Festival is not just a world class open-air cultural experience set in beautiful scenery. Unforgettable operatic premieres; fabulous concerts in the Festival Hall; avant-garde contemporary artistic performances on the „Werkstattbühne“ stage; pearls of classic opera in the Vorarlberg Regional Theatre: during the months of July and August the summer festival offers over eighty spectacular performances, attracting some 200,000 visitors to the borderland region between the Alps and Lake Constance.

A festival for Franz Schubert. The first Schubertiade, held in Hohenems in 1976, was organised by Hemann Prey in a bid to restore the composer to his well-earned place alongside Mozart and Beethoven. It quickly developed into one of the world’s leading Schubert festivals, and has become a popular rendez-vous for international audiences. Attracted by the numerous world-class musicians who gather to play in this pleasantly intimate venue, musicians and visitors alike are united by a common goal: to do homage to the music of Franz Schubert.
